Entrepreneurship

The word entrepreneurship entails various definitions to every person; however, a broad definition is definable. According to Nazir Daud, a man who is the president of business opportunities and franchises, defines an entrepreneur as, "somebody who manages a business, takes risks and uses initiative to make it successful. On the other hand, according to ASU it is defined as, "the spirit of creative risk taking." After learning about entrepreneurship in the learning modules, entrepreneurship can be defined by many aspects of society not just business and an entrepreneur must have qualified characteristics. 

To become a successful entrepreneur you must have ambition. If an entrepreneur did not have ambition they would go no where in producing their idea, product, or their organization. Having the drive to want to succeed is more powerful than any other quality, I believe. If everyone in the world lacked ambition, nothing would be accomplished in our society and it would not be as successful as it is today. Like Bill Bradley said, "Ambition is the path to success," and if you entail this quality you will be on your way to being successful. 

Another quality that an entrepreneur must entail is the ability to take risks.  Entrepreneurs must make opportunities for themselves and if an opportunity comes their way they need to take it immediately.  Being able to generate new ventures is part of being a successful entrepreneur. For students, ASU provides many opportunities to achieve their ambition by the Edson Student Entrepreneur Initiative. Taking advantage of these opportunities is up to the entrepreneur and if you obtain all of these characteristics success will be achieved.
